Welcome to 100 Black Men of Chicago!

Greetings and Welcome to our website!

100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. is the premier volunteer youth service organization, mentoring African-American males throughout the Greater Chicago area.

For more than eight years, 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. has been living our prime directive -- to help improve chances for the area's youth. Our purpose is to uplift, develop, and foster the dreams and aspirations of African-American inner-city youth.

We consistently accomplish this through mentoring, teaching, and conducting "life-trips" into society, and by setting examples in our personal lives for the Mentees to observe and obtain guidance from.

The 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. are dynamic men, educated, well-trained and diverse in their interests and backgrounds; yet a common bond holds us together -- our untiring dedication to the next generation. Collectively and individually, we are about building a better world, creating new paths, exploring new opportunities ... making a difference in the lives of our children.

Between now and 2005, more than half of all new entrants into the workforce will be minorities. at the same time, one half of all jobs will require a more educated workforce., If America falls behind in producing more young minority men and woman for this workforce in the coming decades, America's economic ability to compete in the global marketplace will be severely compromised. 100 Black Men of Chicago, Inc. realizes that the youth of today represents what our communities will be tomorrow.

With a new century, we see new opportunities. We want to continue to build on our solid base of members as well as the programs that we offer to our young people. With your help, we can make the future better and brighter. It's everyone's responsibility to invest in our youth today -- it makes the village stronger tomorrow.

Thank you for visiting with us -- we look forward to your interest and support!

Sincerely,
Darryl Newell
President
